We are so thankful for the support of the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation for providing the Peer Helpers PLUS Program for the Baldwin County Public School System.  Because of their unwavering support, we are able to provide all Baldwin County schools with Peer Helpers and P.A.T.H. - Prevention and Awareness for Total Health Curriculum.

How are WJ Carroll Peer Helpers selected?

To be selected as a Peer Helper, students meet the following requirements...

  1. be a 4th or 5th grade student enrolled at WJ Carroll Intermediate School
  2. complete an application (must be signed by the parent/guardian)
  3. get 2 recommendations (one from their teacher and another from a current WJ Carroll teacher or staff member)

All components are required as part of the selection process.

Applications are made available in the Spring to all interested students.  Students that are selected for the role of Peer Helper will serve in that role the following school year.  The application window for students is announced in the Spring during the WJ Carroll Morning Show.  Students can not serve on the Leader In Me Student Lighthouse Team and be a Peer Helper during the same school year.
