I have been a school counselor in Baldwin County since 2014. I was an itinerant school counselor based at Daphne Middle School before transferring to the role of full time counselor at WJ Carroll Intermediate School in October 2020. Prior to moving to Alabama, I was a school counselor in Montgomery County, Maryland where I worked as an elementary counselor for 6 years in a K-5 school and as middle school counselor for 7 years with grades 6 - 8. I have a BS in Family and Child Development from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Blacksburg, VA) and MS in School Counseling from George Washington University (Washington, DC).

My name is Lena Lindsey, itinerant school counselor for WJ Carroll Intermediate School and Daphne Elementary. I will serve WJ Carroll students and families on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and in the afternoon on Fridays. I began my career in education in north Alabama teaching kindergarten, first, and second grades. From there, I moved to serve our students county-wide as Student Support Services Graduation Coach, focusing on increasing student attendance and academic success for grades K-12. In 2013 I transitioned into the role of school counselor, serving at the secondary level. As part of the Baldwin County team, I have also served students and families at the K-8 level and as senior counselor at BCVSS. My education and training include a BS in Early Childhood Education (UAB), MA in School Counseling (UAB), Ed.S in School Counseling (UWA), and certification in Education Leadership: Administration & Supervision (UM).
