Subject: 5th Grade
Reading- This week we are reading the story-"Hindenburg". The reading test will be on Thursday. Students will be turning in their vocabulary, workbook page 284, literature response, and reader response on Thursday.
Math and Science- We are reviewing for ARMT+
Social Studies- We will be working on and presenting campaign posters for Andrew Jackson. They will be completing this activity with a partner during class.
English-The skill this week is quotation and quotations marks. They will be tested on Thursday. The assignment for the week is workbook pages 113-114.
Spelling- The students are being tested on compound words on Thursday. They will be turning in their worksheet, ABC order, and 3 times each on Thursday. The words are on Spellingcity.com for them to practice.
Friday is Field Day. Be sure to pack sunscreen and water. We will be outside all day. Students are allowed to purchase carnival bracelets for $5.00. The bracelets and permision forms allows students to participate in water wars, double waterslide, wrecking ball, jumpy slide combo, and a 4 station sports inflatables. Be sure to bring a beach towel!
There will also be a concession stand. The tickets are .50¢ each and can be purchased in advance. For 2 tickets students are able to purchase a hot dog, pizza, soda, or ice cream. One ticket students can purchase candy, baked goods, capri suns, water, popcorn, chips, or a pickle.
