Principal's Bio

Mrs. Horst has served as an educator in Mobile and Baldwin County for the past 15 years.  She taught in Mobile for 3 years and Baldwin County for 7 years. She was the Assistant Principal at Perdido School for one year and two years as the Principal of Daphne South.  She is currently enjoying being the principal for a fourth year of  W. J. Carroll Intermediate School.  Mrs. Horst earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama.  She also earned her Administration Certificate from USA.  She is a member of the Alabama Association of Elementary School Principals, CLAS, and BCAPE.  She is the mother of two children: Gabrielle (14) and Garland (11).
